Devi Adi Parashakti is returning on Dangal TV after the lockdown. What does it mean to you?

This show has always been important for me from the time it went on air. This show has made me a spiritual person. I have learnt a lot as a person and as an actor. I have understood the power of the Almighty, the reason behind praying and the sole existence of this power.

How do you feel when you get into the character?

Some scenes give me the goose-bumps. I can feel the power of Devi while performing the scenes. The clarity that I get after performing a scene helps me with my own life. It is overwhelming to portray such strong characters.

One change that you have noticed in yourself?

A lot of my questions have been answered. I have realised that one should not complain and whatever happens, happens for the good. We are responsible for our own happiness and sadness.

How much time do you take to get ready?

Post lockdown, things become a lot more difficult. Shooting patterns have changed. I have to do my own make-up before reaching the sets. It takes nearly two hours to get ready.

What are you missing the most on the sets?

I miss my co-actors the most. Shooting alone is no fun.

Devi Adi Parashakti starts with the wedding sequence of Shiv and Parvati. What preparations did you do for your role?

I would request for my scripts days in advance so that I can prepare myself. My co-actor Tarun, who plays the role of Shiv, also helped me a lot.
