Paro Sang Dev actress Jahnavi Soni shared that fans are now more inclined towards taking selfies, and she is enjoying it. She feels that while an autograph is for keepsakes, a selfie captures a moment live.

She said, “Autographs — now they’ve turned into selfies! Times change, technology changes, and that’s fine. I actually enjoy taking selfies with my fans because it captures the ‘now’ moment. I smile, hug them, and look at them warmly.”

“I genuinely feel thankful that such moments are happening in my life where people want to take selfies with me,” she added.

Asked for an interesting fan experience, and she said, “The most interesting and memorable fan interaction I had was when a fan somehow got my number — I don’t know from where — and started sending me messages on WhatsApp and calling me a lot. I didn’t pick up the calls, but I did listen to their voice notes.”

“It made me laugh and also feel happy because they love so much. There’s such a personal connection between a fan and a character,” she added.

She feels that the love a fan showers is for the character, but since an actor is playing it, they get that love. She said, “It’s a very unique feeling that they are loving a character we portrayed, and I can understand that. I did send one voice note in reply once, but I know that when I do that, their expectations grow even more.”

“I can totally understand that feeling. I don’t want to hurt their feelings, so I said that if they ever come to Mumbai, I would surely meet them,” she added.

And when she has fans meeting with her in public, she handles it with grace. She said, “Sometimes it happens that I’m with my family or in the middle of shooting a scene, and a fan comes to meet me. Then I have to make them wait, and I feel bad that they have to wait.”
