Isha Malviya and Ankit Gupta open up on their onscreen Punjabi wedding Amika Shail shines as Dhani in ‘Chattis Aur Maina’
Disney+ Hotstar recently launched a bouquet of short-format web series under the banner Quix, which will provide easy viewing entertainment for the viewers. One such web series, which released this week, is titled Chattis Aur Maina. People are liking the girl-next-door character of Dhani, essayed by singer-turned-actor Amika Shail. Directed by Shraddha Pasi, the series features Amika as a dancer. Talking about it, Amika says, “It is like a dream come true. Dancing on five numbers in a single web series was amazing.”
She adds, “The story is very grounded and practical. I am sure that the audience will connect with it. It has real-world elements of love, politics, relationships, marriage, online dating, friends, societal pressure, parental pressure, etc. My character is of a naive village belle, who is not career-oriented and her only goal is to get married. It is totally different from what I am in real life.”
