Javed Akhtar makes a rare appearance on a reality show

Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idolwill see veteran lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar grace the sets in the coming weekend episode. The show is themed ‘Tribute to Javed saab’. Welcoming the man who has amazed the world with his heartfelt words, contestants will be dedicating their performances to Akhtar. Danish Mohd, who is known to win hearts of every guest, also impressed JavedAkhtar with his performance on Afreen Afreen. In fact, Akhtar complimented him by saying that there’s a jhalak of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan in him.

Praising Danish Mohd’s performance, Javed Akhtar said, “You reminded me of Nusarat Fateh Ali Khan saab. He was a huge Sufi artiste. There are very few people like him in this world.”
