When love turned into lullabies

During a playful segment, Vicky jokingly proposed to Katrina as the song Mujhse Shaadi Karogi played in the background. “Why don’t you find a nice boy like me and get married?” he teased — unaware that this cheeky moment would become the beginning of a real-life love story.

A party, a conversation and the spark

The two crossed paths again at Karan Johar’s party, where a genuine friendship began to bloom. Even before they met, Katrina had confessed on Koffee With Karan that she’d love to work with Vicky. When Karan later shared this with Vicky on another episode, his dramatic “fainting” reaction went viral — and fans began rooting for them instantly.

Chemistry on & off screen

Their bond quietly deepened over time. Even when comedian Kapil Sharma teased Vicky about his “fondness for Kat,” his bashful grin said it all. In a candid Koffee With Karan appearance, Katrina revealed that she hadn’t known much about Vicky before meeting him at a party. “He wasn’t even on my radar,” she admitted with a smile. “But when I met him, I was won over!”

A royal wedding in Rajasthan

After months of speculation, the couple tied the knot in a dreamy ceremony at Six Senses Fort Barwara, Rajasthan, in December 2021. The festivities came replete with haldi, mehandi and sangeet with a grand wedding on December 9. Katrina dazzled in a red and gold lehenga, while Vicky looked every bit the prince in a regal golden sherwani.

The sweet journey to parenthood

In September, Vicky and Katrina shared their next big milestone — pregnancy. The couple announced the news with a polaroid shot of the maternity shoot, with Vicky lovingly cradling Katrina’s baby bump. Their caption read, “On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude.”

They got a baby boy!

And on November 7, the couple announced the arrival of their baby boy. Their joint statement on Instagram read, “Our bundle of joy has arrived. With immense love and gratitude, we welcome our baby boy. — Katrina & Vicky.”
