Kerala Tourism brought its latest promotional campaign to Chandigarh as part of a nationwide outreach to showcase new destinations and experiential products ahead of the festival and winter holiday seasons. The initiative, launched to attract both domestic and international travellers, highlights Kerala’s growing reputation as a safe, welcoming and world-class destination.

Tourism Minister PA Mohamed Riyas said the campaign aims to boost visibility for Kerala’s evolving tourism offerings through roadshows, trade fairs, and B2B networking events across major Indian cities, including Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and now Chandigarh. The campaign features new experiences alongside Kerala’s timeless attractions — backwaters, beaches and hill stations.

Kerala is also promoting itself as a premier hub for destination weddings and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) events. Tourism Secretary Biju K said the state’s blend of natural beauty, luxury and cultural richness is drawing global event planners, couples and corporate clients seeking unique experiences.

Upcoming highlights include the Kochi-Muziris Biennale (Dec 2025–Mar 2026) and the Champions Boat League (Sept–Dec 2025), both of which are expected to draw significant tourist interest.

Recording an all-time high of 2.22 crore domestic tourists in 2024, Kerala continues to strengthen its tourism resurgence post-pandemic. With offerings such as houseboats, caravan stays, plantation visits, Ayurveda wellness and adventure activities, the state caters to diverse traveller interests. Kerala Tourism also won the PATA Gold Award 2025 for its engaging social media campaign.

The Chandigarh event marks a key stop in Kerala’s campaign to promote its latest experiences and reaffirm its position as one of India’s most vibrant and authentic travel destinations.
