What are your thoughts on mythological shows?
There is a lot to learn from Indian mythology. Mythological shows are a medium to take us to our roots in an interesting way.
Do you think playing a mythological character is a huge responsibility?
Yes, definitely it is a huge responsibility. When you are playing a mythological character it becomes very important to meet the expectations set by the audience. Be it your costume, your makeup or your acting, you have to be convincing.
Is it your conscious decision to stick to mythological genre?
Not really. It is just about the work that I am being offered and also the audience is showering their appreciation which I value. I consider it a blessing that I am getting a chance to play these Devis.
How has been your experience shooting with your co-actors so far?
I shot a few sequences with Malkhan Singh who plays the role of Lord Shiva in the show and a few with Advait Kulkarni who plays Ganesha. Malkhan is very good to work with. He has been essaying the role for about three years. He is very warm and welcoming on the sets. Advait on the other hand is a child artiste and carries a very positive energy with him.
