‘Manike Mage Hithe’, a song sung by Yohani and Satheeshan, has now got everyone from Madhuri Dixit to Amitabh Bachchan hooked, and has quickly become a very popular song for viral reels.

Here is the Sinhala original song. A Hindi version was released on July 30 as part of a collaboration between Indian singer-rapper Muzistar and Yohani, and has spurned even Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam versions.

Reels and Bollywood

It first gained attention in India when social media star and music producer Yashraj Mukhate sang a cover of the original version.

Bollywood stars Madhuri Dixit and Amitabh Bachchan soon followed. Bachchan shared an edit of the song, superimposing it on his Kalia hit song ‘Jahan Teri Yeh Nazar Hai’. Soon, celebrities like Tiger Shroff followed. The actor danced to the number.

In fact, the song’s now so viral that there’s a video of an Indigo stewardess dancing to the song on board a plane.
