Meet the perfectionist

What made you choose this show for making your small screen debut?

Dil Yeh Ziddi Hai is an unconventional and inspiring story based on a very unique subject, something that we have not seen on Indian television. The thing that attracted me the most was Kajal’s will and determination.

How do you think the show will inspire people?

Dil Yeh Ziddi Hai celebrates the spirit of picking up your house of cards after it has collapsed and finding the positivity and strength to still go after your dreams.

You were a software engineer, then a beauty blogger and now an actor. Did you always want to be an actress?

Engineering and blogging went hand in hand for me. Health and beauty are things that appeal to me and hence, I wrote about it. But in my heart, since childhood, I had always wanted to become an actor. Now, I am living my dream of acting.

You are working with Rohit Suchanti and Shoaib Ali, known faces in the TV industry? Did they help you get a hang of things during the shoot?

I have had a blast shooting with both of them, in fact, both have been very helpful during the shoot. Being totally honest, I feel we have already developed an understanding and I hope this bond stays for life.

What are you ziddi about?

For me, one thing that can’t be compromised is perfection. I am a person who likes to give my best in everything I do and I love challenges. So, if I am dissatisfied with something, I will do it over and again until I have given my best.

Are you a trained Bharatnatyam dancer?

Even though I am passionate about dancing, I like to learn every detail about the art. I mastered all the techniques.

What is common between Megha Ray and your on-screen character Kajal Vyas?

Both are ziddi.
