Meet the proud fathers on Indian Idol

Indian Idol’s Sunday episode will be Father’s Day special and contestants will be able to meet their fathers on the big stage.

Talking about his father, Pawandeep Rajan said, “We have always been a close-knit family and, being the son of someone deeply entrenched in the world of music, there are certain values that I picked up from my father. Both of us learnt music together since my childhood and since then, he has supported me a lot. He was a musician but could not fulfil his dreams due to the responsibilities at home. He has always encouraged my music and it is because of this that I’ve always aimed to make him proud and make his dreams come true.”

Shanmukha Priya’s father will also grace the sets of India Idol. She says, “I lovingly call my father ‘Nana.’ He is my guru and my inspiration. I have always learnt the art of music from him. He is a huge support and without him, I could not have reached this point in my life. It was his dream to see me on the stage of Indian Idol and after witnessing the fame and my talent on the show, he is very happy and proud of me. This Father’s Day, I would just say that I can never thank him enough for everything he has done for me.”
