Sandeepa Dhar underwent extensive prep for her role in Bisaat

Sandeepa Dhar will next be seen in Vikram Bhatt’s psychological thriller Bisaat. Playing a psychiatrist for the first time, with no personal experience in the area, Sandeepa prepared extensively for her character by meeting professionals to understand the medical jargon; their behaviour, how they operate with patients, the sessions, the demeanour, body language and functioning. Sandeepa says, “I spent more than a month meeting different psychiatrists, understanding the medical terms, jargon, their lifestyle – in both personal and professional lives. We shot the show for 50 days and those have been amongst the most emotionally exhausting days of my life.”

Sandeepa adds, “The character is very complex and a layered personality. She is the epitome of the modern contemporary woman, who is trying to balance her career and professional life.”
