Nausheen Ali Sardar blames Sima Taparia for refusing to enrol her

Nausheen Ali Sardar, who rose to fame with her role in TV show Kkusum, recently made headlines while narrating a bitter experience with matchmaker Sima Taparia. Sima is known for Netflix show Indian Matchmaking. Nausheen says, “My family was insisting on getting me enrolled on a matrimonial site. So, they thought of approaching Sima aunty. We were in for a shock when she blatantly told us that she did not cater to Muslims or Catholics.”

Nausheen adds, “I got so annoyed that I put this entire bitter experience on her social media page, where I asked her to broaden her mindset. But my family feared for me and they asked me to pull the post down. They feared that somebody would harm me.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
