Nishad Vaidya is seen in an important role with negative shades in Amir and Sonali Jaffar’s newly launched show Qurbaan Hua. The actor, who is back after a break of four years, says, “The break was not intentional. I have done a few episodic roles in Code Red and also acted in Bhaage Re Mann but after that, there was a phase when I was not getting roles of my choice. I preferred to wait. That was the time I used to feel very low. People think that when one person is feeling low or depressed, it is mostly because of a heartbreak. But that’s not the case.”
He adds, “As an artist, when you know that you have the potential but nothing is happening according to your preference, you feel low. My parents have been the rock-solid support system to me and their presence and guidance helped me to bounce back. It is indeed a pleasure working with Amir and Sonali Jaffar – one of the best makers on Indian television now. I am hoping that my portrayal of Alekh will be liked by the viewers.”
