“When an actor moulds himself or herself into a character, there are various kinds of thought processes and brainstorming that go behind it. Even after ‘cut’, the actor continues to connect with the character,” she says.

The actress goes on to explain why a character can become such an integral part of life. “An actor makes a character his life. So, when that character ends, it feels that a part of the actor has died. This is a process where there is no procedure. Something develops inside you, nurtures inside you and then dies. So, it leaves a bit of hollowness in your heart.”
