It was at the age of 18 that Juhi Chawla won the Miss India pageant. This was back in 1984. On her 54th birthday today (November 13), as part of the celebrations, there’s a throwback photo of the actress that has been doing the rounds on the Internet. It’s Juhi Chawla being crowned Miss India by actress Rekha and the beautiful moment captured in black-and-white photo has that old-world charm.

Making her special day all the more special are Juhi’s fans who have flooded the comments section with their love and appreciation for the actress. A user wrote, “Love her.” There’s someone who said, “Wow it’s great shot…”, another comment reads, “Hum hai raahi pyar ke..all time favourite.”

As we go back in the past celebrating the works and beauty of Juhi Chawla, she not only won Miss India pageant but also represented India at the Miss Universe pageant where she won the National Costume round wearing a lehenga and nose ring.

Soon after, Juhi began her acting career with Sultanant in 1986. Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988 opposite Aamir Khan made Juhi everyone’s favourite. Juhi reigned the silver screen in the eighties and nineties and films including Mr and Mrs Khiladi, Yes Boss, Darr, Ishq were some of her famous works.
