Passion is important, says actor Vijay Pushkar
Can you tell us about your OTT debut?
The name of the show is Splitends and it has been directed by Prashant Patil. The show has been produced by Pari Arts Productions (Parnita Srivastava).
How much do you relate to your character in the show?
The character, Gautam, is young, just 27 years old. He is confused about his decisions in life and is not very confident. There is no clarity or firmness in his behaviour. In real life, I am the opposite to Gautam.
What made you say yes to Splitends?
I love the message which is given through the story. It teaches people about life and how to handle it.
As an actor what kind of roles do you look forward to?
I would love to do roles which come with a human connect and are realistic. I can portray different human emotions, different characters through simple, yet inspiring stories.
How did you spend your lockdown days?
First of all, I made a proper schedule of my day. So, my day would start with getting up early and doing some physical exercise. Then I would do gardening and make breakfast. I also cleaned the house, did some painting, read books and even tried to learn how to play the flute.
How do you manage to keep yourself positive?
I am involved in life coaching and read spiritual books.
What kind of struggle did you face in the industry?
I had to face a lot of problems! I wasn’t sure how to go about it and didn’t have many contacts in the industry. So I had to start from scratch and have realised that in this industry passion is important, along with your talent.
