Renee Zellweger to star in ‘The Thing About Pam’
Renee Zellweger has been roped-in for NBC’s new show The Thing About Pam. Renee will executive produce and star in the show. The six-episode true-crime series from will be based on the 2011 murder of Betsy Faria, which was explored in a magazine as well as in a podcast. The series marks the first major project for NBC under Rovner, who joined the company last year from Warner Bros. Television. Jessika Borsiczky will write and serve as showrunner.
In a statement, Susan Rovner, chairman, entertainment content, NBC Universal, said, “The twists and turns of this saga are truly stranger than fiction.”
