Alliance Française Chandigarh has announced the winners of its recently concluded photography competition, ‘Capture the Spirit of Olympic Sports’. This competition, which was a part of the institution’s initiative to foster artistic expression and cultural engagement, attracted an impressive 37 entries from professional and amateur photographers, including young girls from Carmel convent school, who showcased their unique perspectives on the Olympic spirit.
After careful deliberation, the jury, comprising renowned photographers Diwan Manna and Pankaj Sharma, awarded the top honour to Arun Khanna. His photograph, which was taken during National Tent Pegging Championship held in Tricity, stood out for its compelling portrayal of the determination, passion, and energy.
In addition to the winner, the jury also recognised the exceptional work of three other participants, awarding commendations to Gursimran Kaur, Jasbir Malhi and Harvinder Singh. Their photographs were celebrated for their creativity and the way they each uniquely encapsulated the essence of Olympic sports.
