Actor-comedian Bob Saget passes away at 65
Bob Saget, who was best known for the role of Danny Tanner in the sitcom Full House, passed away on Sunday (January 9). He was 65. The comedian was reportedly found dead in his hotel room on Sunday afternoon at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, following a performance in Jacksonville, Florida. The cause of the death is yet to be known. The Orange County Sheriff’s office tweeted from its verified account and wrote, “Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget and pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case. #BobSaget.”
Soon after, many of Saget’s celebrity colleagues begun paying tribute to the late actor on social media. Sharing a black and white picture, Jim Carrey wrote, “Beautiful Bob Saget passed away today at 65. He had a big, big heart and a wonderfully warped comic mind. He gave the world a lot of joy and lived his life for goodness’sake.” Norman Lear also shared a picture and captioned it as, “Bob Saget was as lovely a human as he was funny. And to my mind, he was hilarious. We were close friends and I could not have loved him more.” — TMS
