Rubina Dilaik celebrated Diwali at her village in Shimla after 10 years. In a happy note on Instagram, Rubina spoke about her excitement on celebrating the festival with her family after a decade and also shared some pictures and a video.

She wrote: “The tradition of celebrating Diwali in Our village is very unique! The procession and the celebration is high on local music and dance . Our deity Shirgul Maharaj (Lord Shiva) from Dewat temple is taken out on a Palki and all the villagers celebrate the festival for two days, folk songs and local cuisines attract hundreds of devotees from neighbouring village! The procession heads to the main Kuldevi , Thor Mata Temple ( Durga Maa) in Shantha where Jagra (local term for Diwali) is culminated and everyone dances their hearts out in praise of our local deities!”

Rubina loves spending time in her native village, just recently, she attended an engagement ceremony of her younger sister, which she said was planned in four days. Vibrant pictures from the event were also shared on social media.

Rubina seems to be close to her roots and often shares pictures from her hometown.
