Sachin Parikh, who acted in films like Main Atal Hoon, PK, Aligarh, Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, and OTT many series talks about his journey
How has been your journey in the film industry so far?
It’s been quite a journey. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some fantastic directors on various projects, ranging from films like PK and Aligarh to OTT series like Crackdown 2 and Avroadh 2. Each experience has been unique and enriching, but I still believe there’s so much more I can explore within myself as an actor.
How did you prepare for your role in Main Atal Hoon, and what was it like working with director Ravi Jadhav?
Preparing for my role in Main Atal Hoon was a meticulous process. I worked closely with the casting team to understand the director’s vision and the nuances of my character. Ravi Jadhav is a director who values subtlety and believes in conveying emotions through silence, so I focused on portraying my character with authenticity and restraint. Working with him was an enriching experience, and his attention to detail elevated the entire filmmaking process.
You’ve also worked with Pankaj Tripathi in the past. Can you share any memorable experiences from your collaborations?
Yes, I had the pleasure of working with Pankaj Tripathi many years ago in a series called Powder. Reuniting with him for Main Atal Hoon was a nostalgic moment, and we fondly recalled our earlier collaboration. Pankaj’s dedication to his craft is truly inspiring, and he shared valuable insights about the importance of authenticity in front of the camera. His wisdom has always been a guiding light for me in my acting journey.
As you continue your journey in the film industry, are there any directors or collaborators you’re particularly eager to work with?
Absolutely, there are several directors whose work I admire and would love to collaborate with. Vibhu Puri, Shashank Khaitan, Sandeep Modi, Vishnu Vardhan and Ritesh Menon are among the filmmakers whose projects I’m eagerly looking forward to being a part of. Each of them brings a unique vision to their work, and I believe collaborating with them would further enrich my journey as an actor.
How do you balance your personal and professional life as an actor?
It’s definitely a delicate balance to maintain. Personally, I consider myself a private person, so I tend to restrain from sharing intimate details of my personal life on social media. However, I do make an effort to engage with my fans by sharing aspects of my daily routines, travel experiences, and family moments. At the same time, I’m careful not to overshare, especially when it comes to sensitive topics like personal struggles or disputes.
