This Father’s Day, Sandeep Sahni, a Chandigarh-based writer and an expert infinancial planning as well as wealth management, launched his book—Dear Son: Life Lessons from a Father’.
While the purpose of the book is crystal clear from the title, he says the idea struck him a year ago when his son asked for something special for his 21st birthday. He says, “I wanted to gift him the experiences of a 56-year-old man. And as soon as it transformed into 21 chapters, I thought of giving it the shape of a book. Instead of going for materialistic things, I chose to pen down a book, which I firmly believe will stay with him for the rest of his life. Not only my son, the book can be a guiding force for all teenagers.”
Talking about the 294-page book, Sandeep adds, “Fathers play an important role in shaping the future of their kids, not just economically but emotionally and morally as well. The book is all about the valuable lessons that a father can impart to his son. The book teaches one how to overcome setbacks, and manage work and life successfully. I have talked about the importance of dreaming big and even what should be the role of religion in one’s life, among other issues.” Sahni enjoys the works of writers like Robin Sharma and Rhonda Byrne.
