The high-octane, adrenaline-pumping entertainer is set in the 1800s when India was under British rule. We see Ranbir as a dacoit who steals from the wealthy. Then enters Vaani Kapoor as Sona, a dancer and Shamshera’s golden girl, who warns him to not mess with the Britishers.

Set in the fictitious city of Kaza, we are then given glimpses of a warrior tribe imprisoned, enslaved and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian general Shudh Singh played by Sanjay Dutt, who is brought to Kaza to control Shamshera. From being a slave to becoming a leader and then a legend for his tribe, Ranbir Kapoor as Shamshera relentlessly fights for his tribe’s freedom and dignity.
