Many TV actors did music videos when the shooting of their shows came to a standstill due to the pandemic. Many opined that it was the best way to earn when things were not going in our favour.

Actor Sharad Malhotra, who has been doing music videos of late and has given hit tracks such as Bepanah Pyaar, Halo Re Halo and Door Ho Gaya, says, “Honestly, that was not the scenario for me. Yes, money is very important for survival but right now money isn’t the primary factor that I am looking at. For me, it’s about the content…It’s about what I’m asked to do and a lot of people who know me know that Sharad Malhotra is not the one who would be asking ‘acha batao iss music video mein kitna paisa milega’. The first thing I say is that you send me the track, I want to hear it and then decide on it…If the track is good then we can take the conversation ahead. Quality over quantity has been my mantra for life…It’s the music and lyrics that drives me,” he says.
