Just a day after Golden Globe Awards 2021 announced its nominations, nods for the 27th Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards were announced by Lily Collins and Daveed Diggs on the SAG Awards’ Instagram page on Thursday. This year, the ceremony will be held at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on April 4.The ones leading the way in the outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture are Da 5 Bloods, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Minari, One Night in Miami and The Trial of the Chicago 7. Running for best drama series are Better Call Saul, Bridgerton, The Crown, Ozark and Lovecraft Country.

In the leading actors, Chadwick Boseman picked up two posthumous nominations, for lead actor in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and supporting actor for Da 5 Bloods. Other actors nominated include Riz Ahmed, Anthony Hopkins, Gary Oldman and Steven Yeun. Female actors nominated include Amy Adams, Viola Davis, Vanessa Kirby, Frances McDormand and Carey Mulligan.

Meanwhile, Mank which scored the most Golden Globe Awards nominations with six nods earned only one nod from the SAG Awards for star Gary Oldman. Even Promising Young Woman and Nomadland also got only one nod each for stars Carey Mulligan and Frances McDormand, respectively.
