The fashion world was abuzz last night as Sidharth Malhotra graced the runway for designers Shantnu & Nikhil, bringing a slice of the 70s back to life at The Piano Man, in Delhi. The glitzy evening was a celebration of nostalgia, glamour and innovation, with the designer duo showcasing their latest 2024 couture collection inspired by the unforgettable era of disco, bold prints, and timeless style.

The Shershaah actor stole the show as he strutted down the runway in a striking velvet blazer layered over a vintage ruffle shirt. Sidharth also surprised the audience with an impromptu dance on stage, adding his unique touch to the night. Sidharth’s mother, and brother, were seen seated among the audience.

The show was a trip down memory lane, with models showcasing a range of stunning retro outfits. Men rocked bell bottoms and ruffled shirts, while women shimmered in glittery gowns, retro sunglasses, disco dresses, and more — all inspired by the iconic fashion of the 70s. The designers seamlessly blended the old with the new, using luxurious fabrics like silk velvets and sequined materials, paired with modern elements such as faux leather and bespoke Italian suiting fabrics.

Shantnu & Nikhil’s creative genius shone through in their reinterpretation of the classic Paisley motif, a signature element of their brand. This season, the Paisley was given a fresh twist, appearing in embroidered leather and other alluring forms that perfectly complemented the collection’s theme.

The show kicked off with a stunning appearance by the legendary Zeenat Aman, who opened the event with her timeless grace. Actor-singer Saba Azad added to the retro vibe with a lively performance, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.
