In school and even in college, I always participated in dramatics, dance and sports. On one of the days, I took a chance by auditioning for a part in Gumrah and to my surprise got selected. That’s how acting became a career. I had a choice between playing nationals in hockey and acting, and I chose the latter.

Have you done an acting course?

I did a couple of acting workshops and a course from New York Film Academy. I believe when you get into something, you should get into it hundred per cent.

We hear that you are a trained dancer as well. Which form of dancing have you learnt?

I’m good at freestyle and have learnt belly dancing from Greece. I wanted to be an expert in at least one dance form, so I went to Greece and enrolled in a proper belly dancing course.

Tell us about this new music video…

Main Jis Din Bhula Du is my debut music video. I got a call on a Sunday asking me to come to T-Series office, they were like ‘we have a song for you’. When I heard the song, I went ‘wow’. I was not even born when the original song, Main Jis Din Bhula Du, had released.

How was working with Himansh Kohli in the video?

It felt like a vacation, we had so much fun.

What kind of roles are you looking out for on TV now?

I would love to do more work on TV because that brings you a lot of popularity, fame and scope. There are a lot of areas that you can explore when you work on a TV show.

What prompted you to start a pet cafe?

The second lockdown was tougher for a lot of people, including me. I realised nothing is going to change if I start complaining about Covid. So, I thought about doing something better in these challenging times. That’s how I actually took this decision to open a pet café.

Tell us more about the concept of your pet cafe…

There are two things that are important in my life – pets and coffee. Working from home while your pet is around and sipping hot coffee is bliss for me. I had a vision about pet parents sitting together, chilling and eating along with their pets.

What are your future plans?

I want to grow more in the field of acting and create a mark, so that people recognise me for my work. OTT is a blessing now.
