Country singer-songwriter Luke Bell, whose throwback style blended strains of Texas, Nashville and Bakersfield, has died aged 32, according to his friend and collaborator Matt Kinman. Bell, who battled severe bipolar disorder, had travelled to Arizona with Kinman, but went missing on August 20 in Tucson. —IANS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
