Sumbul Touqeer Khan has created history by securing the top spot on the Top 50 Asian Stars of 2024 list. Sumbul was one of only two Indian stars in the list, along with Rupali Ganguly. The talented actress, known for her impactful performances and charm, has become a global icon, winning hearts across Asia and beyond.

This year has been a turning point for Sumbul, with her show Kavya—Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon, earning her critical acclaim Reacting to the recognition, Sumbul shared, “I’m overwhelmed by this honour. It’s a dream come true, and I owe it all to my fans and well-wishers.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
