My partners, Jay and Aditya, and I wanted to do a musical series for quite some time. In a musical series we can create a story which the audience can relate to. Like in a film or a web series, at the end the audience finds a conclusion, we wanted to create that in a musical series.

Since when have you been involved with music?

I have been doing music professionally for the past four years. I always loved singing. Back home, my sister and I used to sing a lot. But when she moved to Delhi, I somehow was missing that.

When was the first time you performed live?

After I got eliminated from Bigg Boss, I was feeling low and spoke to my dear friend, singer Darshan Raval. I wanted to go somewhere and he invited me to his live show in Ahmedabad. And on the live stage people started calling my name and I started singing along with Darshan. And the kick I got performing live took me to a different level.

What kind of training have you undergone in music?

I am not a trained musician. I have taken to music because I love to perform. I learn every day.

Define music’s role in your life.

Taking a break from television and moving on to music was indeed a big decision. I sing songs which I feel connected with. I gradually discovered music is my happy place and it has definitely made me a better person. I am doing what I love to do.

Has acting taken a backseat?

Acting requires certain amount of time and right now I can’t take out time. Because television needs at least 12-13 hours and music requires certain dedication and focus so balancing both is a tough job.

Are you looking forward to acting again?

Yes, of course. Through music videos I am going to fulfil my acting desires. In one of upcoming music videos, I am playing an RJ. A webseries is on my wish-list.

How has life changed since you became a father?

Life is beautiful after parenthood. Every day we are experiencing new things and living it to the fullest.

How much do you sing for your little one?

Kishwer and I both sing for our son and he also gives us his reaction. Life is always beautiful but this phase probably is the best phase of our life.

What is your dream when it comes to music?

I won’t be able to put that in words. I am moving step by step. I want to tell the world that I am a composer & singer.
