Even as the lockdown is being lifted in phases and life is limping back to normalcy, there’s a lot of uncertainty around opening of theatres. Vikramjeet Virk, who has been a part of TV shows such as Suryaputra Karn and Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, among others says, “As an actor, I sometimes feel that theatres should open, but then, given the current pandemic situation, maybe we should avoid it. Every day we hear about a rise in the number of Covid-19 cases. So, it’s better to wait till the time everything gets back to normal.”

He adds, “It’s a great idea to release movies on the web. But, watching movies in theatres, on the 70 mm screen, will never go out of fashion.”
