I enjoyed playing a negative character in my last show Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna. I started receiving a lot of hate mail from fans which I found quite amusing.

How did you spend your time during the lockdown?

I devoted my time to prayers. I cooked a lot and read a lot.

How is it to resume shoot in the new normal?

I’ve had longer breaks before but the thrill of being back on the sets didn’t let me sleep the night before my first day on the sets. I feel most alive and happy when I’m working.

What changes do you see in yourself post Covid?

I think as a race we’ve become more thoughtful, kind and compassionate. We have learnt to value little things in life

What’s your take on OTT?

I think we’ve got some great content these days. The only downside to this is viewership has become individualistic than a family coming together and watching a show over dinner.

What are your plans for future?

My mission is to open a charity foundation called Bright Sparks to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

What’s your fitness regime?

I love doing yoga. It helps me stay calm and balance my mind and body.
