While the debate of talent of the common man versus nepotism rages, the show Apna Time Bhi Aayega makes a strong statement about the deep-rooted class system. Popular actress and social media star Anushka Sen will be seen playing lead role in the show. Anushka has turned to method acting and is keen to seek inspiration from some remarkable women, who have, just like her character, broken class and gender barriers of society, questioned stereotypes and emerged #AukaatKeBaahar to achieve something significant.

In this regard, Anushka met and shared a few laughs with stand-up comedienne Dipika Mhatre, who once served as a household help at various homes and sold imitation jewellery in Mumbai’s local trains for a living. A rather inspired Anushka saluted Mhatre and said, “Dipika’s journey and hurdles connected with me on a really deep level and I was absolutely in awe after hearing her story.”
