Bhangra Paa Le
Under Ronnie Screwvala’s banner RSVP Movies, debutant director Sneha Taurani brings a musical drama Bhangra Paa Le. The film stars Vicky Kaushal’s brother, Sunny Kaushal and marks the debut of Tollywood actress Rukshar Dhillon in the Bollywood industry. Deeply attached with Bhangra, Jaggi Singh aka Sunny wants to exhibit the dance form of Punjab on a bigger platform. Bhangra Paa Le bridges the gap between the traditional forms of Bhangra from Punjab and western dance forms from all across the world. Supported by actors like Naila Grewal, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Sunit Razdan and Mark Bennington, the film revolves around a college rivalry to win an international dance competition.
Good start
I feel the movie was value for money. When I went in, I had no expectation and that worked. Both the lead actors did a good job but I really like the actress, Rukshar. If not outstanding, it’s a good one-time-watch.

Old concept, fresh take
It was not something new since we have seen hilarious English dance movies as well as Remo DSouza franchise ABCD. At the same time, the Punjabi take to the story, I loved it. The energy and music was really great.

Lengthy affair
I feel, for the first week of 2020, the best thing was to see some fresh faces. The actors did a great job in keeping the audience hooked but the movie went on and on. And I did not sign up for this.

Sab Kushal Mangal
Sab Kushal Mangal launches two newcomers Ravi Kishan’s daughter Riva Kishan and Padmini Kohlapure’s son Priyaank Sharma. Akshaye Khanna who was last seen in Section 375, is also a part of the romantic drama. He plays the character of Baba Bhandari in the situational romantic comedy.
Not worth it
I felt like leaving the hall after the interval. I went back for the sake of my friends. It fails to deliver and the punches fall flat.

End nepotism
It is good to give chance to fresh faces but it is time to stop launching actors’ sons and daughters only to torture the audience. Akshaye could have done better and after Section 375, I did not expect this from him.

The Grudge
This supernatural horror film is the fourth installment in The Grudge film series. It stars Andrea Risebourough, Demian Bichir, John Cho, Betty Gilpin, Lin Shaye and Jacki Weaver. The franchise returns to silver screen with a fresh creative team and a fresh take on the story. In this film, a house is cursed by vengeful ghost that dooms those who enter it with a violent death.
Gross and scary
The movie is gross and scary at the same time. I have not watched the earlier parts, so I have nothing to compare to. But, after watching the movie I am eager to look at the previous versions to know more about the story.

No grudges
I feel I have no grudges against the movie. I felt I had a good time and it is good that the franchise was revived.
