Bawaal marks the reunion of Sajid Nadiadwala and Nitesh Tiwari after the 2019 National Award-winning coming-of-age drama Chhichhore. The movie is gearing up for an April 7, 2023, release. Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor have been shooting for the film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, in Europe for the last two months. They shot in multiple European cities, including Paris and Amsterdam, and are at present in Poland for the last leg of the shoot. As a part of their prep, they visited the Auschwitz Nazi Camp in Poland.
