Chandigarh, August 14
Varun Dhawan too have joined a Bollywood brigade raising a demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
In an Instagram story, Varun shared a hashtag “CBIforSSR” for the 34-year-old actor from Bihar.
Earlier, Rajput’s co-actors Ankita Lokhande and Kriti Sanon took to Instagram demanding a probe into the actor’s death by the CBI.
A social media campaign with hashtags “CBIforSSR” and “JusticeForSSR” is trending on the internet.
Sanon wrote: “I pray that the Truth comes out SOON..,, His family, his friends, fans, and all loved ones deserve this closure.” Sushant was found hanging in his apartment in suburban Bandra in Mumbai on June 14.
Rajput’s father had on July 25 lodged a complaint with the Bihar police against his son’s girlfriend and actor Rhea Chakraborty, and had also accused her family members of abetting the actor’s suicide.
The CBI recently took over investigation into the case. Patna police has registered a FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and her family. Earlier, Mumbai Police was probing the case.
