In a tragic turn of events, ace designer and founder of the fashion label Off-White, Virgil Abloh passed away on Sunday.

The sudden death of the creative director has shaken the fashion and western music industry. Virgil was 41. He is survived by his wife, Shannon, and his two children, Lowe and Grey Abloh, as well as his sister and his parents. Reportedly, he was suffering from a rare, aggressive form of cancer, cardiac angiosarcoma, which was kept a secret from the world. It was informed by the designer’s team in a brief post that read, “For over two years, Virgil valiantly battled a rare, aggressive form of cancer, cardiac angiosarcoma. He chose to endure his battle privately since his diagnosis in 2019, undergoing numerous challenging treatments, all the while helming several significant institutions that span fashion, art, and culture. Through it all, his work ethic, infinite curiosity, and optimism never wavered.”

His death was mourned by several Bollywood and Hollywood personalities and music stars including, Priyanka Chopra, Kanye West, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber, David Beckham, Timothee Chalamet, BTS and Sonam Kapoor.
