Anurag Kashyap recently shared his opinion on Bollywood films not working at the box office whereas South films like Kantara and Pushpa 2 did great as they were rooted in culture.
The Kashmir Files director, Vivek Agnihotri, misinterpreted the interview because of the heading ‘Films like Kantara and Pushpa are destroying the industry’ and while sharing the article tweeted, “I totally totally totally disagree with the views of Bollywood’s one & only Milord. Do you agree?”
Now, the Gangs of Wasseypur director responding to his uninformed tweet took a potshot at Agnihotri. He wrote tagging his tweet, “Sir aapki galti nahin hai, aap ki filmon ki research bhi aisi hi hoti hai jaise aapki mere conversations pe tweet hai. Aapka aur aapki media ka bhi same haal hai. Koi nahin next time thoda serious research kar lena ..”
It roughly translates to, “It’s not your fault, your research methodology for movies is the same as your tweet reaction to my conversation. You and your media are also sailing in the same boat.”
