Karisma Kapoor turns 48 and the actress rang in her special day with a fun celebration at home. Giving us a glimpse of her midnight birthday bash, Karisma shared a video and we must say it’s a cute one.

In the video, Lolo, as she is fondly called by her family, is struggling blow the candles on a rich chocolate birthday cake. Like a kid, she tries a few times and succeeds. There are photos that show he enjoying the cake while wearing a sash that has ‘happy birthday’ written on it. There are black, gold and multi-coloured balloons around her that read, ‘Happy birthday Lolo’. We also see pictures with her pet dog.

Along with the video, Karisma wrote, “Pajamas + Cake = <3” She also added the hashtags, ‘about last night’ and ‘birthday vibes’.

Birthday wishes started pouring the minute this video reached social media. There are comments from her industry friends including Manish Malhotra, Amrita Arora, Soha Ali Khan, Sophie Choudry, Neelam Kothari Soni and many others. Her fans too sent Karisma their choicest wishes on her special day.

A birthday wish that stole everyone’s heart is the one from her ‘first baby’ younger sister Kareena Kapoor Khan. Kareena shared an adorable throwback photo of Karisma as a toddler and wrote, ‘To the pride of our family. This is my most favourite picture of you. Aaj Sab bolo Happy birthday to our LoLo. #just the best sister ever.” In reply, Karisma wrote, “Verified

Thank you to my first baby.”

On the work front, Karisma will soon be seen in Brown, directed by Abhinay Deo. It is based on the book ‘City of Death by Abheek Barua’. It is yet to be revealed whether this is a feature film or a web series.
