Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha and actor Manoj Bajpayee have come together to make a Bhojpuri rap on the country’s poor migrant population.
The song, called ‘Bambai mein kya ba’, features Manoj Bajpayee and is a social commentary on the dire state of poor migrants in the sprawling metropolis of Mumbai. The song makes it clear at the very outset that Bambai, or Mumbai, is a metaphor for every metropolitan city in the country.
The song, released by T-Series, has 46K likes on Youtube.
