Watch: Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone ring in the New Year with a romantic dinner date; Deepika gives the evening a funny twist

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh began 2022 with an intimate dinner date in the Maldives. The star couple left for Maldives earlier this week.

Ranveer gave a glimpse of their celebration on Instagram. He shared a monochromatic video where he asks his lady love, “Having fun baby?” In her response, Deepika gives a humorous twist to a line from their latest film ‘83’. In a funny accent, she says, “Yeah! What else we here for?”  In the film, this dialogue is spoken by Ranveer, who played former cricketer Kapil Dev. This leaves Ranveer in splits and Deepika is all smiles.

Deepika looks resplendent in a black tube dress accessorised with a choker necklace and chunky earrings.

While Ranveer shared this cute video with his Instafam, Deeepika delighted her fans with a photodump on Instagram to sum up her 2021. She wrote, “Year end photo dump of all the things I love…Food, Flowers & Travel….”
