History TV18 launches new series Kings of Pain
History TV18 has announced the launch of its new series titled Kings of Pain. The nine-part series, which premiered on September 10, will be aired on every Thursday and Friday. The show follows two of the world’s foremost animal handlers as they willingly suffer intense pain and mortal danger to create a comprehensive pain index that will eventually help save lives.
The show builds on the Schmidt Pain Index developed by entomologist Dr Justin O. Schmidt. This pain scale measures the pain caused by the bite or sting of 83 different creatures, on a scale from 1 to 4, with poetic descriptions of each sting. Adam and Rob take Schmidt’s pain index further.
