As per media reports, Gates’ appearance will be in a virtual format, featured across a special three-episode storyline. The storyline would center on raising awareness around maternal and newborn health, an area the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has long been committed to.

The segment will include a video call between Bill Gates and actor-turned-politician Smriti Irani, who recently reprised her iconic role on the reboot. The interaction is expected to highlight key health initiatives and encourage public awareness through the show’s vast viewership. The initiative was reportedly driven by Smriti Irani herself, who expressed a desire to use the show’s platform to promote socially relevant messaging.

Irani previously met Gates during the World Economic Forum 2025 (WEF25) as a BJP leader, where they discussed advancing the “Alliance for Global Good: Gender Equity and Equality.”

The inclusion of a global figure like Bill Gates marks a rare crossover between international philanthropy and Indian television. The episode is expected to boost TRP ratings while simultaneously educating viewers on critical health issues.

The show airs on Star Plus and is available for streaming on JioHotstar.
