When Priyanka Chopra faced racism
In her upcoming memoir, Priyanka Chopra has opened up about facing racism early on in her life. She has shared how people would bully her and pick on her for her colour.
She recalled the time when she had moved to Newton, Massachusetts, to stay with her extended family at the age of 12. Priyanka revealed that she faced such bullying at school back then that she moved back to India to complete her schooling. As per the excerpt that has been shared, PeeCee was constantly picked on by her peers. Remarks like, “Brownie, go back to your country”, “Go back on the elephant you came on” and so on, was thrown at her. Priyanka says she reached out for help but even her counsellor couldn’t help. Meanwhile, Priyanka will be seen in The White Tiger, set to release on Netflix today.
