Yamini Malhotra is a social media addict
Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein actress Yamini Malhotra says she is a social media addict. She feels that the platform has bridged the gap between celebrities and their fans and she even keeps her fans updated about her day-to-day activities.
She says, “I am a big-time social media addict. I mainly use Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. I don’t use Twitter though. I want my fans to know me in and out. They should be a part of everything I do. Also, I love reading their comments, messages and viewpoints. I try to read all the messages my fans send to me on Instagram and I am one of those actors who even bothers to reply to them, and fans get thrilled when I reply to them.”
She adds, “I feel it’s good that celebs can directly tell their feelings or talk about things happening in their life to their fans through social media. It’s definitely a boon because who doesn’t want to be on everyone’s phone!” While Yamini speaks in favour of social media, she agrees that everything has its pros and cons. Asked if the platform leads to over exposure of celebrities, she stressed, “You can’t really help it. But overall, I want to focus on the positives more.”
