Important Dates
- Notification Release Date: Initially scheduled for September 17, 2025, but postponed (new date to be announced)
- Prelims Exam Date: February 8, 2026
- Prelims Admit Card Release: February 2026
- Prelims Answer Key Release: February 2026
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: 21-30 years (with age relaxation for reserved categories)
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology in relevant disciplines
Exam Pattern
The exam consists of three stages:
- Preliminary Exam (Objective)
- Paper I: General Studies & Engineering Aptitude (200 marks, 2 hours)
- Paper II: Specific Engineering Discipline (300 marks, 3 hours)
- Mains Exam (Descriptive)
- Two papers from the concerned discipline (300 marks each, 3 hours each)
- Personality Test/Interview (200 marks)
Application Process
- Application Form: Available online on the UPSC website with the issuance of the notification
- Application Fees: Rs. 200 for UR/OBC/EWS categories (no fee for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen/Female candidates) ¹
