Tewari inaugurates open-air gym

Member of Parliament from Chandigarh and former Union minister, Manish Tewari inaugurated an open-air gym at the main park of 3BHK flats in Sector 63.

The gym has been set up by using funds from Tewari’s MPLAD (Member of Parliament Local Area Development) funds.

Speaking on the occasion, the MP said the project, costing approximately Rs 5 lakh, was undertaken in response to a long-standing demand of residents. He emphasised that people of all age groups will benefit from the facility and that a healthy individual forms the foundation of a healthy society. Tewari reassured that there is no shortage of funds for developmental projects.

Chandigarh Congress president HS Lucky, who was also present at the event, thanked Tewari and reiterated that holistic development of the city is the top priority for the party. He appreciated the MP’s consistent efforts in utilising his MPLAD funds for the welfare of people and expressed hope that such initiatives will continue in the future.

Paramjit Singh Benipal, president of the 3BHK Residents’ Welfare Association, along with JJ Singh and their colleagues, expressed gratitude to the MP for fulfilling the community’s demand.
