Raipur Dabba Academy wrestlers to represent state in Ranchi c'ship

Raipur Dabba Olympic Wrestling Academy has earned another moment of pride as four of its wrestlers have secured places in the Punjab Wrestling Team for the upcoming National Wrestling Championship. The prestigious event, featuring both under-23 and senior categories, will be held from August 21 to 24,in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

Academy Director and former national wrestling coach Pyara Ram Sondhi said here today that the academy’s selected wrestlers were Suraj Kumar in the 70 kg category, Vishal Kumar in the 79 kg division, Parminder Saini for 92 kg category and Justin Sidhu would compete in the 130 kg Greco-Roman class. All four have shown consistent form in recent competitions, demonstrating discipline and skill that have become hallmarks of the academy’s training programme.
