1.8 lakh youth got merit-based jobs in 10 years: CM Saini

Highlighting the government’s commitment to transparent recruitment, the Chief Minister asserted that in the past ten and a half years, 1.80 lakh youth had been given government jobs purely on merit, without any role of “parchi-kharchi”

Saini was addressing a gathering in Rohtak on Sunday as chief guest at the 75th foundation year celebration of the Saini Education Society. On the occasion, he inaugurated the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Shiksha Sadan and laid the foundation stone of Saini Public School.

“To realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047, we are strengthening the education system in Haryana. The government is committed to making the state a leader in education, and work is underway to fully implement the new National Education Policy by 2025,” said Saini

He praised Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, the pioneer of social reform, and India’s first woman teacher, Savitribai Phule, as jewels of the Saini community. Both, he said, made significant contributions to the field of women’s education and dedicated their lives to uplifting weaker sections. They consistently raised their voices to promote girls’ education, widow remarriage and social reforms for the deprived.

“Under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, enrolment of all children in schools has been ensured in the state. Digital education, smart classrooms, tablet distribution and e-learning have been promoted in schools. Putting into practice the "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" campaign, facilities like safe transport for girl students, scholarships and sanitation have been increased. Establishment of excellent model schools in every block, imparting education in artificial intelligence, coding, and digital skills to children, linking skill development programmes from school level, and promoting research and innovation in higher education are being done,” said Saini.

Earlier, Saini Education Society president Avnish Saini welcomed the guests. Prominent attendees included Rajya Sabha MP Ram Chander Jangra, former ministers Krishan Murti Hooda and Manish Grover, Mayor Ramavatar Valmiki, State Information Commissioner Karmveer Saini.
