1 dead, 3 injured in Manesar hit-and-run

In a hit-and-run accident, one Rajasthan native died while three persons were injured when a speeding truck hit their SUV near Manesar in the wee hours today.
The truck driver managed to flee with his vehicle from the spot. An FIR has been registered at Manesar police station. According to the police, the accident took place around 5 am near Manesar village culvert. As a result, the SUV got overturned on the slip road. Raiees Khan (45) was critically injured while his wife, son and driver were injured.
The police said that the truck driver fled away with his vehicle. After getting information, the police team reached the spot and took the victims out of the overturned SUV. They were rushed to a nearby private hospital where the doctors declared Khan brought dead.
An eyewitness said that after the SUV overturned, the door on Khan’s side opened and he was crushed under the vehicle. An FIR under Sections 279 (rash driving), 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), 304A (causing death by negligence) of IPC was registered at Manesar police station. — OC
